WE HAD A FANTASTIC TIME SHOOTING THIS PROMOTIONAL VIDEO FOR A PRIVATE JET CHARTER COMPANY IN COLUMBUS. THE ENTIRE VIDEO WAS SHOT ON OUR CANON 1D MARK4 OVER CRANKED FOR THE SLOW MOTION SEQUENCES. WE USED KEN-LABS GYROS TO STABLIZE THE AERIAL FOOTAGE SHOT FROM THE HELICOTPER AND OUR 18 FOOT JIMMY JIB FOR A FEW SHOTS AROUND THE JET.
THE IDEA WAS TO CREATE A FUN, NON TRADITIONAL VIDEO TO SHOW MORE LIFESTYLE AND LESS DETAILS. FLYING PRIVATE IS A WONDERFUL THING!
THE BLACKBIRD REVUE IS RECORDING THEIR AMAZING NEW CD, SO TODAY WE SHOT A FEW PHOTOS FOR POTENTIAL COVER ART, WE HAVE ANOTHER SHOOT OUTDOORS COMING SOON! WE HAD ALOT OF FUN ON THIS ONE PLAYING WITH COLOR AND LIGHTING.
DID A PHOTO SHOOT TODAY WITH VERY TALENTED JAMIE FROM HI HAT COFFEE! WE SHOT AT OUR SOUTH OVERLAND PARK STUDIO USING WINDOW LIGHT AND FABRIC BACKGROUNDS THEN WITH STUDIO LIGHTS AND OUR PAINTED WALL. I THINK SHE DID AN AMAZING JOB!
HERE ARE A FEW CLIPS FROM THE RECENT SHOOT IN TEXAS WITH THE PHANTOM F4 AND THE A4 FIGHTER JETS. IT WAS AMAZING TO SHOOT FROM A JET GOING 400 MILES PER HOUR AND HAVE THE SHOTS LOOK ALMOST LIKE SLOW MOTION… THE SHOTS ARE FOR A VIDEO THAT THE COLLINGS FOUNDATION WILL BE SELLING SOON.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY TODAY WITH MY CAMERA IN THE FRONT SEAT AND THE CLOUDS WERE SO COOL THAT I SNAPPED A FEW PHOTOS… THEN I THOUGHt IT WOULD BE COOL TO PUT SOMEONE IN FRONT OF IT, SO I TOOK A FEW PHOTOS OF MY SON STANDING IN THE DRIVEWAY USING A FEW LIGHTS…. HERE IS THE RESULT. I AM TOTALLY GOING TO TRY MORE OF THIS STUFF! I KNOW THE EDGES ARE BAD BUT I DID IT IN ABOUT 3 MINUTES… BETTER NEXT TIME.
WE HAVE SOME REALLY FUN PHOTO SHOOTS COMING UP IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS THAT WE NEED PHOTO ASSISTANTS AND MODELS FOR, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HELPING OUT ON SOME SHOOTS, ASSISTING OR MODELING JUST SEND ME AN EMAIL, ISAACALONGI@ME.COM
JUST DID A SHOOT WITH THE TALENTED BLAKE AND SANDRA, WE GOT SOME FUN SHOTS… SOME OF WHICH WOULD MAKE A PRETTY SWEET ALBUM COVER.

Here are a few shots from a senior session a few days ago!

We are working on some new magazine ads for Feng Look East at Hawthorne Plaza in Leawood Kansas. Feng is a really great botique that has only been around for a few years but has totally taken off. Beth the owner has amazing vision for the look and feel of the store and so all of the advertising is following a very classic style. Here is the most recent ad we are working on.

As my little nuclear family unit bundled back up to head back into the chilly chaos of Black Friday in Kansas City, Isaac Alongi chatted with us. He said he figured he had a window of about three minutes to find the moment worth capturing. Anything more, and everyone’s just wasting time. Babies get fussy, children get bored, adults have places to be.
We were living proof: We’d come in only 15 minutes earlier, and the actual photography took about seven minutes. And the shots he came up with? Glorious.
This man is a genius, a true talent. He captures expressions and feeling in his photos that are so charming and often fleeting. His prices reflect that — wedding packages especially, starting (STARTING!!) at $10,000. But if you have the money to spare and want to see yourself in photos looking better, happier, healthier and…like you never imagined? Goodness, he is the obvious choice.
In the last week, we have all watched images of the devastation that has taken place in Haiti. In an effort to help the Haitian children and their families, for the next month all of the profits from the sale of our children’s book, Smiling Faces, will be given to World Vision Haiti Relief Fund. Smiling Faces is a colorful picture book with our photography and a fun story. Enjoy reading it to your preschoolers or beginning readers can read to you. Purchase the book online and we will pay for the shipping. Please pass this along.
