just shot a wedding with the most fantastic old car for the couple to leave in, loved it!
won my first emmy for cinemaphotography. its for a film i shot last year thats set in the 1800’s complete with costumes, sets, horses etc. it was too much fun!
just got home from a trip out east for a wedding in natucket… which was awesome, but we stopped in new york city to shoot some new aerials! we had a RED camera with us so I couldn’t resist the beauty…. here are some clips.

I just shot a new series of black and white photographs of the new kauffman performing arts center. its such an amazing building!
just had a fun shoot doing head shots for my friend amy, she did an awesome job with out even trying!
I got to do a really neat shoot today for the president of the federal reserve bank, shot it for a story in a german magazine.

LOVE THE LOOK OF SIMPLE HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PORTRAITS. SOMETIMES LESS IS MORE, AND IT FEELS LIKE THE EYES JUST POP. JACK LOOKS SO INTENSE IN THIS VERY FIRST PHOTO OF OUR SHOOT TODAY.
I JUST SWITCHED FROM CANON 1D MARK4 TO THE NIKON D3s BECAUSE OF THE FANTASTIC NIKON GLASS AND THE SUPER SHARP NIKON FOCUS. I HAVE HAD TOO MUCH TROUBLE WITH SHOTS FOCUSED IN FRONT OR BEHIND THE SUBJECT EVEN AFTER SPENDING HOUSE DIALING IN THE MICO ADJUSTMENTS. THIS NIKON IS TACK SHARP ON THE EYES PRETTY MUCH EVERYTIME!
THIS MORNING I GOT A PRETTY COOL AERIAL SHOT OF THE NEW PERFORMING ARTS CENTER IN KANSAS CITY. ITS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION BUT LOOKS PRETTY AMAZING!

I WOKE UP THIS MORNING TO HUGE, WINDBLOWN SNOW DRIFTS OUTSIDE MY FRONT DOOR. TRIED TO GET OUT AND TAKE SOME PHOTOS BUT GOT STUCK IN THE DRIVEWAY.
JUST GOT BACK FROM A REALLY COOL SHOOT AT CASTLE ROCK IN WESTERN KANSAS. IT’S LOCATED ABOUT AN HOUR AND HALF WEST OF HAYS.
WE SHOT ON THE RED ONE CAMERA OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS DESERT LOOKING AREA.
CASTLE ROCK RISES UP FROM MILES OF THE FLAT PLAINS OF WESTERN KANSAS. WE GOT REALLY LUCKY IN JANUARY TO HAVE 50 DEGREE WEATHER RIGHT BEFORE A MASSIVE SNOW STORM HIT.
WE USED ALL NATURAL LIGHT, MOSTLY SHINY BOARDS AND POSITIONED THE ACTOR WITH THE SUN TO HIS BACK.
